Thirty minutes, free. Honest assessment. You describe the problem. I ask the awkward questions: the rule of thumb you apply without noticing, the system nobody wants to touch, the spreadsheet that has to keep working. At the end you get an honest assessment, a rough price range for building it, or an honest “this makes no sense”.
What I get asked
Do you do this yourself? Yes. One point of contact, from the first sketch to live operation.
Is it even worth building? I can tell you what the effort of building it is. I am not a fortune teller, but I can measure what works, what does not, and where the effort is worth putting.
Can you work with what we already have? Usually. Tell me which two systems do not understand each other; that is enough to start.
Why does my strategy do something different live than in the backtest? Usually repainting, look-ahead, or assumptions your broker does not share. We can check it piece by piece.
All I have is a spreadsheet and a hunch. Is that enough for a call? Yes. Bring the vision; I do the engineering. What to bring A rule you apply by hand, a chart with the trades marked on it, an error-prone business process, a half-written brief, a screenshot, a spreadsheet, a framework we can design within. Names and versions of the systems to be integrated, and the documentation where one of them is proprietary. A wish list, if you have one, sorted by: 1. MVP (first-day essentials, nailing the biggest pain point), 2. must have, 3. nice to have, 4. cream on the cake. The deadline that is real, and the one that is only preferred. What you get A fixed price for it, or the reason a fixed price cannot be estimated (yet).
